Autumn Safari

It has been a wish of mine for quite some time to go to Africa for a genuine safari. Well, I did get my wish, sort of,
but the safari was an ATV Safari in San Juan County Utah. Disappointing? Well, maybe it wasn't quite as exotic as
I had hoped for, but nevertheless the scenery was spectacular and the other travelers were lots of fun. Here are a
few pictures we took along the way. Besides beautiful red rock vistas, we saw many amazing Native American
ruins and petroglyphs, and beautiful wildflowers. The trails were dusty and dangerous, but luckily nobody got hurt
racing around the wilds of Southern Utah. The wilds of Africa will just have to wait.

Summer 2010

The summer is already half over, but what a wonderful summer we've had!
There have been a couple baby horses born which are always adorable.
Sarah and Elliot were able to come and visit us in June for a week.
Nathan graduated from William and Mary and Thunderbird with a dual
masters degree, and Kellie has been accepted to Brooklyn Law School.
They were able to come and visit us for a few days. We are excited for
them to start their new life in New York. Nathan will begin his job with
IBM end of August.
Alex was accepted into the BYU Accounting School and he continues to
see the lovely Erica Neuffer, an education major from Chicago.
We had a miracle happen in our family with Dan and Sara becoming parents
to little Tatum Suzanne Fishler, who was born on June 19th. She is the
answer to many prayers! She has made so many people happy with her
arrival!
And in a couple of weeks Mark and I will head up to Oregon to deliver
Nate and Kellie's bulldog, Mr. Pot Pie, to Sarah and Jeremy and Elliot.
They are going to take care of him for a few months until Nate and
Kellie get all settled into their life back East. Mark and I also celebrated our 36th wedding anniversary.

THE HOLY LAND

Three years ago Mark and I took a wonderful trip to Israel. It had such a profound
impact on each of us that we vowed that we would somehow return with our children.
Well, we were able to return to Israel, and Alex and Dan and Sara were able to join
us on a wonderful adventure. Maybe sometime in the future we can again return
with Sarah and Jeremy and Nate and Kellie. Until then, here are just a few of our
many pictures we took of this trip of a lifetime. Seeing Tel Aviv, Cesarea, Tiberius
and the Sea of Galilee, the site of Armageddon and the Jezreal Valley, Masada and
the Dead Sea, Qumran, site of where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found, then onto
Jerusalem and its many treasures. Bethlehem, Nazareth, Capernaum and Cana, the Jordan River and
the Mt. of Olives and Kiddron Valley, and the Wailing Wall... ... it is a life changing
experience to see these sites.
